Privacy Policy

At Aliverusty, we believe in being clear about how we handle your information. This policy explains what data we collect, why we need it, and how we protect it, starting from the moment you visit our site.

What We Collect When You Check Out

To complete a purchase, we need certain details from you. As part of the buying and selling process, the personal information you provide—specifically your name, address, and email address—is collected to fulfill your order. This is the core data required to get your items to you and keep you informed about your transaction.

Information Your Browser Shares Automatically

Simply visiting our store also involves a small exchange of data. Our systems automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address. This technical detail helps us understand the browser and operating system you are using, which in turn allows us to optimize your browsing experience and diagnose potential issues.

Marketing Updates and Your Permission

Beyond your order, we may want to tell you about new products or store updates. We will only send you these marketing emails if you have given us your explicit permission to do so. You are always in control of this communication.

How We Use Your Data

Your personal information is used for very specific purposes. When you provide it to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery, or return a purchase, we consider this as your consent for us to collect and use that data solely for that specific reason. If we ever need your information for a secondary purpose, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or give you a clear opportunity to decline.

You can change your mind at any time. To withdraw your consent for us to contact you, or for the continued collection, use, or disclosure of your information, simply get in touch with us at [email protected]. We will act on your request promptly.

There are limited circumstances where your information may be disclosed. This would occur if we are required by law to do so, or if you violate our Terms of Service.

Where Your Data Lives and How It’s Protected

Our store runs on the Shopify Inc. platform, which provides the online e-commerce infrastructure. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and the general Shopify application. They keep your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

How Your Payment is Secured

If you select a direct payment gateway to finalize your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card data. This information is encrypted according to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is retained only for as long as it takes to complete the transaction. Once the transaction is finalized, that specific purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways follow the standards set by PCI-DSS, which is managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, a collaborative effort by brands including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. These requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information. For more details, you may wish to review Shopify’s Terms of Service (https://www.shopify.com/legal/terms) and Privacy Statement (https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy).

Working with Third-Party Services and Different Jurisdictions

To operate our store, we rely on third-party providers. These providers are permitted to collect, use, and disclose your information only to the extent necessary to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies. We strongly recommend that you read their policies to understand how your personal information will be handled by them.

It is important to remember that some of these providers may be located in, or have facilities in, a different jurisdiction than you or us. If you proceed with a transaction that involves a third-party service provider, your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) where that provider or its facilities are located. For instance, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway in the United States, your personal information used in that transaction could be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Our Security Practices

We take the protection of your personal information seriously. We implement reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to prevent it from being inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. When you provide us with your credit card information, it is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption. While no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we adhere to all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
